2019-20 Oxfordshire XC League - Round 3 - Adderbury

As no races are taking place at the moment, I'm creating some web pages entitled "where I was taking photos this time last year". Today, I'm looking at Round 3 of the Oxfordshire XC League which took place on Sun Jan 5th 2020 at Adderbury. It was also the 2020 Oxon AA Cross Country Championships. Some runners were running in both events; some were just running in the Oxfordshire XC League and others were just competing in the Oxon XC Champs. This web page mainly concentrates on those taking part in Round 3 of the Oxfordshire XC League. The league manager's report of the event includes "the weather was remarkably clement for the time of year - the conditions underfoot were ideal: muddy and greasy".

This web page has some details about the 2020-21 season of the Oxfordshire XC League. It includes "with little end in sight to the current pandemic restrictions and the inconclusive EA pilot events the decision has been regrettably taken to cancel the remainder of the 2020–21 fixtures". This year's race was to have taken place today (Sun Jan 3rd 2021).

Alex Miell-Ingram (Radley_AC) was 2nd and the 2nd SM finishing in a time of 32:47.

Otto Copping (Oxford_Brookes) was the 6th MU20 finishing in a time of 38:13.

Daniel Anderton (Oxford_Tri) was the 24th SM finishing in a time of 36:45.

Bradley Thomas (Team_Kennet) was the 4th MU20 finishing in a time of 37:24.

Sophie Lloyd (White_Horse_Harriers) was the 1st female and the 1st SL finishing in a time of 26:18.

Roisin Browne (Cherwell_Runners_and_Joggers) was the 2nd female and the 2nd SL finishing in a time of 26:22.
This photo also shows Sophie Lloyd (White_Horse_Harriers). Sophie was just behind Roisin in the photos I took but I understand that Sophie overtook Roisin on the finishing straight - it was close - Sophie finished just 4 seconds ahead of Roisin.

Rebecca Duxbury (Oxford_Tri) was the 3rd female and the 3rd SL finishing in a time of 26:37.

Jessica Franklin (Newbury_AC) was the 6th female and the 1st FV35 finishing in a time of 27:15.

Lucy Rycroft (White_Horse_Harriers) was the 10th female and the 1st FU20 finishing in a time of 28:24.

Emma Huepfl (Radley_AC) was the 1st FV45 finishing in a time of 28:53.

Ros Kelling (Banbury_Harriers) was the 1st FV55 finishing in a time of 32:00.

Helen Turley (Headington_RoadRunners) was the 1st FV65 finishing in a time of 34:05.

Although above it says that Sophie Lloyd finished first in the Women's race of the Oxfordshire XC League, in the race she was beaten by Jessica Gibbon (Reading_AC). However, Jessica was just competing in the Oxon XC Champs and not in the League. Jessica finished in 24:10 whicn was just over 2 minutes faster than Sophie.
