2022-23 Oxfordshire XC Round 1

Round 1 of the 2022-23 Oxfordshire XC League took place at the Newbury Showground which is near the M4/A34 junction. A report by the league organiser says "The Oxfordshire Cross Country League returned to Newbury Showground after a four–year absence and what has seemed an age since the intervening pandemic. Despite the dire forecasts the weather held good for most of the fixture at Newbury Showground yesterday. However, just as the fixture was approaching its completion the heavens opened to truly saturate the ladies' race. The brief interlude of sunshine that preceeded the deluge was definitively misleading to say the least!"
